About LaunchPoint
LaunchPoint Educational Solutions was created to give students and families the kind of individualized guidance that is often hard to access in traditional school settings.
Our Story
LaunchPoint Educational Solutions was created to give students and families the kind of personalized support that is often hard to access in traditional school settings. Even when students have a school counselor, many do not receive the time, attention, or individualized guidance they truly need. In many schools, support naturally gets pulled toward the top 10% of students who already know how to navigate the system, or the bottom 10% who are facing immediate and urgent challenges. Too many students in the middle are left without the steady guidance they need to plan, grow, and move forward with confidence.
LaunchPoint exists for those students and families.
Led by Dr. Kevin D. Trice, a licensed school counselor, LaunchPoint provides thoughtful, student-centered support in areas such as academic planning, college and career readiness, Section 504 consultation, student success planning, and school-based decision support. The goal is simple: to help students feel seen, supported, and equipped with a clear plan for what comes next.

Meet the Founder

"Every student deserves a clear path forward — not just the students who are already excelling or those in crisis. I meet students where they are, understand their unique strengths and challenges, and build actionable plans that lead to real, lasting success."
All counseling services are confidential and follow school counseling ethical standards.
I'm a licensed school counselor and the founder of LaunchPoint Educational Solutions. I started LaunchPoint because I know too many students never receive the full level of support they deserve — even when they have a counselor at school. In many cases, attention is concentrated on students at the very top or bottom, while a large number of students in the middle are left trying to figure things out on their own.
I believe every student deserves personalized guidance, clear planning, and someone who will take the time to help them see what is possible. Through LaunchPoint, I help high school students and families navigate academic planning, college and career readiness, Section 504 support, and other key school-based decisions with greater clarity and confidence.
My academic background includes a B.A. in Sociology from Lane College (2010), an M.S. in Counseling Psychology from Freed-Hardeman University (2012), and an Ed.D. in Leadership and Policy from the University of Memphis (2025). These three perspectives — sociological, psychological, and policy-driven — shape how I approach every student's situation: with context, care, and a commitment to finding practical solutions.

Why LaunchPoint
An Ed.D. in Leadership and Policy from the University of Memphis (2025) combined with an M.S. in Counseling Psychology from Freed-Hardeman University means your student's support is grounded in both research and real counseling practice.
Multi-state school counselor licensure and years of in-school experience means I understand how schools work, how decisions get made, and how to advocate effectively for your student.
LaunchPoint was built specifically for the students who are often overlooked — capable, motivated students who simply need more time, attention, and a clear plan than most school settings can provide.
I work with both students and families, recognizing that student success is a collaborative effort. Families are kept informed, involved, and empowered throughout the process.
Every student gets a customized success plan with clear goals, milestones, and action steps — not generic advice or one-size-fits-all checklists.
